Since Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s passing, she has been on my mind. This fantastic lady did a lot to advance women’s rights and I am beyond thankful. When I was walking through my craft room the other day, I saw this Feminist Icon Cross Stitch (by Anna Fleiss and Lauren Mancuso) book that my brother got me a few years back. There are 30 different feminist cross stitch designs and RBG is one of them! So I decided this was the perfect time to cross stitch her pattern.
I highly recommend getting this book because it has a breakdown on how to do cross-stitching for beginners. I won’t get into the details of the craft because every design I have found has directions on how to get started, but here is a video with some tips: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOHW4q9xRwQ
I will say don’t get cheap embroidery floss! My pink was a cheaper brand and kept falling apart on me which made things difficult. This project took me 2 days to finish, but all cross-stitch patterns are slightly larger tasks than most crafts I post about.
