“Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.” – Eckhart Tolle
Today I want to take a moment to talk about what I’m thankful for. I know yesterday was Thanksgiving, but with how 2020 has gone I felt the need to spend a little more time focusing on the positive in my life. A LOT of bad things have happened this year, but we can’t change most of what happens to us. We can only change how we look at it.
When I actually sat down to think about all the things I have to be happy about, they just kept flowing. To list a few, I’m thankful that: my dad survived a heart attack and is healthy, my animals are healthy, I have a home in a beautiful town, my friends are so amazing and supportive, and I am VERY thankful that I have found a new career that makes me happier than I ever could have imagined.
I know 2020 has been a shit show, and all of us could easily talk for hours about all the bad things that have happened and what we’ve lost. But instead, why don’t we take a second to be thankful for what we do have? Spend an extra 15 minutes on the phone with your family (even if it’s just to hear them talk about their cats), take some food to a shelter, give your animals an extra big hug and maybe some special treats, sit on your porch and breathe the fresh air, or go to your crafting space and make something that will brighten someone else’s world. Let’s take today to give positivity and love to the universe; she sure could use it.
Next week I’ll be back on schedule with my normal material. I can’t wait to share some holiday crafts with you! Until then, don’t forget to spread the love! 😊 As always, if you take any fun pictures or videos, tag me on Instagram @SmileMakePeopleWonder and use the hashtag #DandelionSmiles.
