This past year has really opened my eyes (I think it has for everyone). I’ve started living more in the moment and being consistently inspired by the women around me every day. I’ve even gotten the chance to reach out to more of the ladies on the outskirts of my life and learn more about what they’ve achieved. Today I wanted to take a moment to reflect on how much I have learned from not only the women who came before me, but those who exist in my life now and will in the future.
I feel like a lot of us women tend to downplay what we do in our lives. When we start a business, get a degree, raise children, make hard decisions like take ourselves seriously… we shrug it off and say “it wasn’t that big of a deal” or “I could have done more.” My goal for 2021 is to convince the women in my life that their actions are amazing as is and they owe this world nothing more than to exist and love themselves.
Every Monday this month, I am featuring a new woman on my podcast (Talk About A Shit Show). These are normal every day women like me. Some I’ve known for years, some I just met recently… but every single one of them has a story and doesn’t realize how incredible they are.
