Today I have yet another craft I found on TikTokβ¦ I swear I do spend time off of that app. Anywho, this craft caught my eye because it reuses old materials and can save me money on cotton balls and makeup remover wipes. Every night, I use at least one cotton ball to take off my makeup and more if Iβm using my toner. I canβt count the times Iβve gone to refill the jar next to my sink and found out Iβd run out and never restocked! So hereβs to hoping I will be able to prevent that with this quick craft.
What I used:
An old shirt
Fabric Scissors
2 glass jars
Labeling tape
Permanent marker

I picked a mostly plain shirt because I donβt want to rub a logo on my eyes when I take off my makeup. First, I cut the hem off my shirt to make sure all the squares would be smooth. Next, I cut strips about 2β wide like you see in the picture. I cut the seams off and made my squares give or take 2β wide and placed them in a jar.

I had a matching jar that is perfect for the dirty squares to go before I wash them. To make sure I know which one is which when Iβm exhausted and not paying attention, I used a permanent marker and labeling tape to label the jars clean and dirty. Now I have a more sustainable option than using up a bunch of cotton balls and theyβre super easy to make if these ones get destroyed! π As always, if you take any fun pictures or videos, tag me on Instagram @SmileMakePeopleWonder and use the hashtag #DandelionSmiles. This is a great idea. Iβll be looking for a T-shirt from my give away pile in the morning to do this. Thanks!
